This is an anniversary card I made this week, please excuse the poor photography on it.

To make the gate fold card I used 2   8 x 8 Scalloped cards and simply overlayed and foldined the fronts to create the gate folds. This is a quick little trick showed to me at a crafting course.

Simply overlay the card backs so that the fronts close on over the other, tape the backs together, then folded back the fronts matching the scallops at the bottom, it gives you a heavy opulant feeling card with a gate fold opening. I know it goes against the grain to use two card blanks but I find the easy of use make it worth while.

The toppers came from a CD my daughter purchased at the Lincolnshire Show Ground Craft Fayre, its the Fleur Francais CD from KraftyHands.

It is such a lovely collection of images that I find I am automatically drawn to it now when I am doing cards.

I add a coat of Decopatch glase to the floral topper and it gives a lovely grackle finish that suits the toppers perfectly.

Birthday Card for Man

I don't know about everyone else but I find making cards for men a bit of a nightmare, finding something suitably masculine other than the normal sports car toppers.

Watching Create and Craft one day they had the La Pashe The Big One CD and I could immediately see cards that I could use for all ages.

This is a card that I made from the Framin range and I think its just called Old Pub.

Framin Card Le Pashe

The frame and the decoupage give this card the most fantastic 3D effect, I was really pleased with it.

I have made more cards from the La Pashe The Big One CD than practically any other CD I have, and I love some of their Christmas range.

I think they will be keeping me very busy.

I bought them as little gifts for upcoming occasions but loved them so much that 2 went straight up in my kitchen, guess I will have to order some more now.

If you are looking for gifts or those shabby chic finishing touches then check out the store, with prices starting at £3 you won't find a better deal, quick before I buy them all.
